The Last Burma Star Film held on November 11th 2025 at the Speakers House

The Last Burma Star pays tribute to one of the last surviving veterans of the Burma Campaign, a brutal conflict that was crucial to Allied victory in the Pacific.

When H4FA asked the veterans what we should do once they were gone, their answer was immediate: the education of our children and descendants. That is why we now support schools such as Phoenix in Mizoram on the West side and Emmanuel in the largest refugee camp on the Thai Burma border on the East side, giving young people a place to learn, to play, and to hope for a future beyond war which has continued for the last 80 years.

H4FA wish to thank Madam Deputy Speaker, James Cartlidge MP,  Fred Thomas MP, and Lord Brady, and to our friends at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for helping us bring this story into Parliament.

80th Anniversary of VJ Day

All are warmly invited to attend what promises to be a most enjoyable evening, held in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day and in remembrance of the sacrifice made by the 14th Army.

To make the evening especially memorable, the programme will include a series of short speeches offering an overview of the campaign and its pivotal moments, followed by a moderated Q&A session with subject matter experts.

Levison Wood and Alex Bescoby will present exclusive preview clips and discuss their upcoming film, The Last Burma Star. The Burma Star Memorial Fund is currently raising funds to complete the final edit and secure mainstream broadcast, while also supporting the Charity’s ongoing Benevolence, Remembrance, and Legacy initiatives.

Set within the historic surroundings of the Cavalry & Guards Club, this themed evening promises to be a poignant and engaging occasion.

Grant Distribution – Chin State 2022

Help 4 Forgotten Allies

H4FA has distributed the 2022 annual welfare grants to beneficiaries who are ethnic Chin living in Chin State and neighbouring Sagaing Division. H4FA has provided 700,000 kyats (~£230) to 74 beneficiaries. The annual grant distribution for 2022 in Chin State started from November 2022 finished by the end of February 2023. The following photos are some of the beneficiaries and videos are also available to record the distribution. The annual distribution report for this is available upon request. This has been highlighted in the H4FA annual report.
