PSRB exists to bring hope and a future to people displaced by the
ongoing conflict in Burma. At the heart of our mission is education, because we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a better life. We support schools and colleges in refugee camps on the Thai/Burma border, and on the India/Burma border.

But our work goes beyond the education. We care for landmine survivors in our dedicated villa, provide vital post-natal care for refugee mothers, and step in during times of humanitarian crisis to deliver urgent relief where it is needed most.

Each year H4FA provides a small grant to a dwindling band of veterans and widows from Burma during World War II. These old soldiers were amongst Britain’s most loyal allies in the war against Japan (1942-45). Now elderly and enduring extreme poverty, they are stranded in crowded refugee camps along the Thai Burma border or struggling in Burma/Myanmar, where for many years they were seen as enemies of the state.

Our work is not only about support to the surviving veterans and widows, it is also about remembrance. By preserving their stories through documentaries and memorial events, we ensure their courage and sacrifice are never forgotten.
